Q. What are the Height, Age and Weight Requirements?

To safely operate, control and ride Boulder Tour Company’s cruiser eBikes riders must meet the following requirements:

Height requirement: 5 feet and 2 inches

Age requirement: between 14 to 75 years old

Weight requirement: between 115 to 350 pounds

Boulder Tour Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these minimum requirements. A ride evaluation with each rider will be performed by the tour guide prior to the start of the tour to determine each rider's participation eligibility.

Q. What shoes should I wear?

Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are a must! Flip-flops, ballet flats and sandals are not allowed. 

Q. What is an Electric Cruiser Bike?

It a like a standard cruiser bike but has a little electric motor build into the rear wheel hub.  The motor is controlled by peddling the bike. It's an awesome thing!

Q. Is it hard to ride an Electric Cruiser Bike?

The simple answer is No. If you can ride a conventional bike, you can ride an electric bike. It’s the very same only with a little bit of help.

Q. How old must I be to take an Electric Cruiser Bike Tour?

All riders must be at least 14 years of age to participate in the tour. Riders 14-17 years must have a parent present to sign a waiver and take the tour with them. Riders 18 years and above do not need parental consent to participate in the tour

Q. Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes,  tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee the date, time and tour you want. Bookings can be made online or over the phone. Our tours are limited to 10-13 riders and often sell out, so we recommend booking as far in advance as you can. 

Q. Are restrooms available?

Yes, there are several opportunities for restroom breaks along the tour route. But, always best to go before the tour starts.

Q. Are cameras allowed on the tour?

Yes, cameras are allowed on the tour. We ask that you do not take photos while biking as this would be dangerous. We will give you lots of opportunities to take photos along the route.

Q. Are helmets required?

Yes, helmets are required due to insurance reasons, but a cool one is provided free of charge.

Q. May I bring my pet on the tour?

We love pets! Unfortunately, pets of any kind are not allowed on this tour.

Q. Does this tour have anything to offer a local?

Definitely! Many of our attendees live right here in Boulder and come to learn more about the locality and the city in which they live. It’s a unique way to see the sites with which they may already be familiar, and it’s also a treat for locals to bring their out-of-town guests to enjoy.

 

Q. Is water included in the tour?

Yes, we will provide you with a water bottle.

Q. What is the weather policy?

Tours runs regardless of weather conditions. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability). We do ask that you dress appropriately for the weather, if rain is forecasted, bring a jacket and gloves. 

 

Q. What is the refund/rescheduling  policy?

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded and cannot be rescheduled because your space is being guaranteed at the event.

Q. Where is the meeting point for the tour?

On weekdays and non-holidays we meet at North Boulder Park - 800 Dellwood Ave. Meet in the parking lot on the northwest corner of the park.

On weekends and holidays we meet at The Boulder Courthouse east parking lot at 6th street and Canyon. 

Look for the Boulder Tour Company branded truck. You will receive an email with specifics.

Q. Should I tip the guide? Yes, if you enjoyed the tour, our guides deserve a living wage. They accept Venmo and cash tips. Outdoor tour operators gratuity tips range from 15% to 25% per ticket.

Q. Can tours be canceled by the tour operator? Yes, we reserve the right to cancel tours at anytime and you will be refunded 100% of the ticket price.
